• 1. Acceptance of Terms▾

  By accessing this website or renting a unit from Cedar Vault Storage, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or rent a unit. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the current version.
• 2. Rental & Month-to-Month Occupancy▾

  Storage units are rented on a month-to-month basis. Your rental begins on the date shown in your agreement and renews automatically each month until you provide notice to vacate. We ask for advance notice of your move-out date so we can prepare the unit for the next tenant.
• 3. Payments & Late Fees▾

  Rent is due on the same day each month. Accepted payment methods and any applicable late fees are described in your rental agreement. Units may be subject to overlock and, ultimately, lien sale for seriously past-due accounts, as permitted by North Carolina self-service storage law.
• 4. Prohibited Items & Use▾

  Units may be used only for the storage of lawful personal or business property. You may not store hazardous, flammable, perishable, illegal, or living things, and you may not live in or conduct business operations from a unit. Storing prohibited items is grounds for termination of your rental.
• 5. Access & Security▾

  Tenants in good standing receive a personal access code for 24/7 gated entry. You are responsible for keeping your access code and unit lock secure. While we maintain fencing, lighting, and 24-hour video surveillance, these measures do not guarantee against all loss.
• 6. Liability & Insurance▾

  Cedar Vault Storage is not an insurer of stored property, and stored goods are not insured by us against loss or damage. You are encouraged to maintain your own insurance covering the full value of items stored. Our liability is limited as set out in your rental agreement and by applicable law.
• 7. Termination▾

  You may terminate your rental by providing notice and vacating the unit, removing all property, and leaving it clean. We may terminate a rental for non-payment or violation of these terms, following the notice requirements of North Carolina law.
• 8. Governing Law▾

  These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the courts serving Wake County, North Carolina.
